Hi all
I have turned a new drive flange (12mm mild steel) to weld on to what appears to be a med / high carbon steel (spark test) subaru hub (definetly not mild, very pritty sparks)
I pre heated both components to aprox 175C and tacked with SS312 filler
the tacks cracked almost instantly
I think i require hotter pre heat and a post heat and would like to get some input on this??
also is there a better filler to use than ss312
cheers tilly
