Measuring for overalls ?

How do you measure for buying them (online) as my gut measurment is bigger than my chest ?

Do you know if the chart allows for clothes worn under the overalls, e.g. thick jumper etc?

Hi, I don't know to be honest but the chart does say it's measurements of the garment.

I have a pair of dickies quilted lovely and warm. I am by no means small and always struggle to get overalls to fit properly, so i went for XXXL they are enormous. Went for bigger to allow for warm winter cloths.
Will have to try XXL i normally wear a XL in regular Dickies overalls. For the first time in my life i will need to get a smaller pair.
I have still to find a pair of disposable painting overalls that wont pull apart at the seams the firs time i move.
I normally put them on have a good move around then get someone to duct tape up the gaps.

go to a shop and try some on get the size and buy them online I went to arco 4 weeks and got 2 boiler suits on offer for 16 quid each

That is what I've done and ordered a cheap 3XL pair. If they fit then I'll look at better / more expensive pairs. Would really like a traditional 100% cotton pair but they seem to be getting rare.

I always struggle with ballroom , most overalls are ok unless you want to put your arms in the air Then you become a eunuch

Slightly OT but can you get just overtrousers ? I have seen the waterproof type but in summer something to cover legs whilst wearing shorts and tee shirt would be nice.

My 3XL overalls were delivered today. Body fit is perfect with enough room for jumper / sweatshirt. Body length also OK with no "drooping crotch". Sleeves and legs however are too long - I can only assume people who normally need 3XL are built like a gorilla

Only issue that may develop will be after you wash them once or twice. I usually order them 1 or 2 sizes up and put them through a hot wash which brings them back to size.

Already put them through a 40% wash (as per washing label) and when they are dry will try on again for size. To reduce length of arms and legs I've bought some iron on turn up tape off eBay so hope that works.

If that doesn't work, you could always hang from one of these for a while........
