MB15 torch liner/gas diffuser

could someone more knowledgeable than me please tell me if this is correct.
basically i have a mb15 torch it seems to work fine but i have just noticed that i can see the end of the coiled wire liner through the gas diffuser holes on the swan neck.
it just doesnt seem right, surely the liner will disrupt the gas flow somewhat.
i think the liner should end further back.
your thoughts will be welcome.

Thats normal, the liner should butt up to the back of the contact tip, my MB15 is the same, on the bigger torches MB25 and 36, they have a tip adaptor that locates the end of the liner, but on the MB15 the tip screws straight into the swan neck.
