Maximum Plate Thickness|

Two mig welders, Fabricator 211i and Kemppi MiniarcmigEevo 200.

Specifications of Fabricator indicates that max plate thickness is 12 mm (0,9mm wire), and Kemppi is 4mm (1,0mm wire).

The max current and tension are similar for both two welders, 200A and 24V.

What I'm doing wrong in this comparation?

The Fabricator is a multi process machine and the Kemppi is mig only. It will be using the arc welding function on the Thermal arc machine.

fabricator 211i is being very optimistic about what t can weld. yes it could maybe do 12mm if lots of V prep carried out (effectively reduces thickness being welded) kemppi will be more accurate about thickness and following the EN norm for such things

I can conclued that I can get from kempii the same that thermal specifies, but in the end I will have a better portable MIG!
