Looking at that list of Hitch's, I'm sort of thinking that the off-cuts I have around the place are may not be quite as useful as the pile he's put aside.
In fact, I'm beginning to think I might just set off for Hitch's yard, (a bit earlier than you, mind!) announce myself as "GasMarks driver", and get back home, maybe even before you've set off!
Nah, really, if you're stuck, send us a PM, but it very much looks as if your consignment from Hitch'll have things covered. (Assuming you get there first!!)

Don't worry about it- I only want to get a nice technique with a mig (which I am told doesn't take long) and then I have LOADS of projects* to do which should help, so I shouldn't need too much practice material...

*including a 200cc off road buggy, a wind turbine, hydrogen powered remote controlled 100cc mini car, Small plane(later on) Large electrolysis system to make the hydrogen for my car, compressor to compress it.... I could go on but i think you get the picture...

...And I thaugh my imagination was active, sounds like you have a reall good lineup for projects there gasmark5! Im working on a minimalist (mild steel + marine ply) chair for product design at the mo.. Sorry for the late reply, do you think computer problems go with welding, or is it just cider?? Anhoo, I know Lee Cox, I dont know whether that rings any bells, I am told he is the gardener to hire in Batcombe, o something along those lines, hes in my A2 Computing class. (Oooo the fun!)

I think my computer problems go hand in hand with spilling coffee over it rather than cider, but who can tell!
