Material stability

Hi all ,
Is polycarbonate sheet in 10, 12 mm thickness a stable and flat material, I want to make a durable and accurate tablesaw sled for joint cutting, as my workshop is unheated and essentially just a garage the humidity us variable as is the temperature, I know cast alloy tooling plate is stable but is beyond my budget in the sizes I require , also can the polycarbonate be tapped and inserts fitted ,cheers

After you machine it or cut it, you can temper most plastics to make them a lot more stable

How is that done please ,

Whale food, the product I love to hate.
10 and 12mm will have a tolerance of around 5% and yes you can tap it.
