i have mine in a pull around trolley but it also acts as a no access to lathe until moved

You'd be talking 1 to 6m lengths presumably?
This is cool mate yeah something like this I’d be looking at doing apart from they would need bottoms on them as I am unable to screw into a wall

Thanks, The arms at the bottom are shorter than the others for a few reasons - the sheet material doesn't need as much stick-out, so saved my ankles and shins when reaching for stock from the higher brackets, and I occasionally parked a car in there, so gave an extra few inches for the door to open.
I did actually make a video of the first half of making this. I think it was my third ever welding project - the first was the frame the chop saw is sitting on, the second was the red bench I'm doing most of the welding on, and this was the third.
If I was making to be free-standing, I'd probably use box section instead of angle iron, and put some bracing between the uprights, similar to the following
