hi to all, this site rocks. im a new-be. ok so ive got this welder, well its not a welder, cause i cant use it yet. so its a metal box right now sitting in my garage.lol. the prob i have is the when i press the trigger the machine clicks but the wire feed will not turn,( no wire threw it yet) checked the dc motor and it works with 12volt power.(motor says dc on it). i have power at the on/off switch. the machine makes a loud humming noise when on and the fan is working, but i do not get any a/c or d/c power at the capacitor or any where else with or with out the trigger pressed using my multi-meter. any help would be great. thanks rean

thanks for the tip shenion. i was testing and testing stuff, it turned out to be the relay switch box. has 5 pins, 2 on one side and 3 on the other side. a small black box. lincon part # 246-258-666 price was $34.69 from welding dealer, found one at grainger for $15.94 thanks to all here also. rean
we dont get matco trucks over here. i do think cornwell are trying their best to make it over here, but they are largely unknown. the only american tool trucks we get are snap on and mac tools.
can you post up a pic of the welder. and any other matco tools if u have some.
i know i could use google for matco pics, but if we started doing that all the time we might aswell be robots outselves.
