hi, hardly the deal of the centry but thats about the going rate. for that price you would want single phase machine, perfect condition and most important a proper kemppi torch all in. i think those units are about 2500 euro new. again, make sure you get the kemppi torch and the rest of the leads and bits and bobs etc, if you go for it, it will be a nice little xmas present to yourself, cheers
p.s and dont forget to haggle..
yeah its seems on the high side, theres a 3500w on ebay, westermans (not a con job) for 2500 sterling. have been looking for something like this for a few years now, you really wont get something like this for much cheaper. all the same if you buy dont go online looking to compare, you always find something cheaper after you handed over the money. the front panel on that machine (which you can upgrade the programmes) is 1500 euro to buy. can you afford the machine and do you really want it. the machine will last you 20 years and kemppi will be here in 20 years. well, its something to keep your mind busy thinking about. with proper kemppi torch i would go for it myself if i had'nt allready filled that gap. the fact its such high spec and single phase always pushes the price of these machines up. and remember if you dont like it, resell it. try doing that with some cheapo ac/dc pulse tig set you bought for new.
yeah i think i will go for it. its maby not cheap but i think its a decent little welder. now i have to sell my lincoln v145-s don't think i will use that anymore if i have the kemppi
They are good machines, but IMHO Fronius and Lorch are the better machines, ....... as Iv said you would be suprised on the deals on new gear, with 3 years back up.... also Fronius will run 250 amps on 1 phase and Lorch 220... I would think very hard at spending that on a used machine, a trip to your local dealer isnt going to hurt
ignore the list prices dealers float about, theres some very good discounts to be had......
yeah oke but this is with the gascilinder, welding kart, enz, whats on the pic ill get. think its a good deal i dont have to buy anything more. like the gascilinder and all of that stuff.
Just be aware that 160A doesn't go that far on Aluminium. The duty cycle is going to be pretty good on it being a Kemppi (40% ?) but unless you rarely weld anything thicker than 3mm Al you'd be better off considering 200A as a minimum imo
hi, yeah the rack would set you back a few hundred as well, and a good regulator could be a hundred. yeah, the fronius is worth looking at, have a 160 amp fronius dc inverter 10 years old not a bother. i use mainly mig and tig in and around the work. i think 160 amps is about 100 amps 100%. these machines are for light fabrication. if you want to burn heavy rods you can but not one after the other. go onto ebay germany and you can get list prices for new fronius and kemmpi from austria, germany and france. all the cowboys are disappearing now and there kit will be on the market, chances are it wont be kemppi or fronius though, cant see the prices of the good stuff coming down really, theres to many people waiting to snap it up. you will find the dealers for these machines have been in business a long time and are not going anywhere either, and they only bring these machines in to order from the manufacturer. all the same, always keep a look out.
