Masking paper dispenser spring paper spring location

How do I fit this spring to the paper cutter? The instructions from Sealey are a rough photocopy and it’s impossible to see it clearly. The spring must stretch all the way along the paper cutter and must hook on to the gaps on it somehow but I can’t get it to work. It’s an MK64 450mm masking paper dispenser. Thanks.

I’ve managed to hook it over this time without it slipping back off. Maybe it’s ok now

Found the better instructions on their website as well now. Totally different instructions in the box. Thanks.

I have got the same one, maybe I never worked out exactly where it was supposed to go but i pull the paper at the wrong angle it kept popping back off. I ended up drilling a couple of holes through the galv bit and holding the spring in place with a couple of cable ties.

I was thinking the same. I can’t see it staying on there without holes.

file a groove , or fold a wee hook ,,, the instructions for most diy things are just a rough guide , its very rare you cant do it a better way .
they design things to be fast and easy to make , you assemble them to be fast and easy to use.
