March 1st last days to use £10 notes

If you have any old £10 notes they stop taking them tomorrow I found some i had put away to buy tools old from last year, The local building society took them today and some old £5 notes, I think you can still swap them after but it may be more hassle after tomorrow..

took 50 quid in tenners today to nat west bank. I asked do u take them yes said guy ohh good put them on counter and he just looked do u bank with us err no . I cant take them then ohh well shove your bank I said u wont have a job shortly anyhow as yours is closing as well as mine did

Nationwide took them no problem and although i do have an account there they never asked for anything.

i do belive any money can be exchaned at a bank that you bank at years after they are out of print its just shops dont take them

Like my gasless dewalts.
The framing gun doesn't like 90mm rims hanks much though. Need to let it spool up fully before firing them.
Bump mode on both is excellent.

I have the old style brad nailer and it has never let me down, Mainly use it for architraves when i am out of reach of the airline, it has never failed...

Owned the above too.
New one is much improved too. Especially the bump. Hold the trigger keep it at speed and pin all around the architrave.

5ah bats with mine get a heavy days frame nailing on one charge.

That's what they told me when I was trading in my old pound coins, there's no time limit at your bank.

I thought I read somewhere that as per the white fiver above - 'I promise to pay the bearer' was binding and as such cant be refused by the bank.

I do read some complete nonsense though, and that might be the case!

Any UK note that has the "promise to pay" statement may be taken to the Bank of England in London and will be honoured at any time. Local bank branches may do so but are not obliged to.
