For those members interested, I have added an album showing MMA weld exemplars as there appears to be a few interested in this particular process. I haven't added volts used, as this can be a vary from individual to individual, plus for any newbies to this process, learning curve springs to mind!!

If nothing else, at least some kind of yard stick to work towards.

Hiya lass, tis kinda like the welders kama sutra grab and save the poster pic, then save, then you can enlarge to make out the position codes better, there are EN codes there too, you will be recognise/understand them better I assume?

Runnach-

They are called 'hyperlinks'

1) Type your message as normal, but dont press 'post reply' yet
2) Select the section of text you want to use as the link.
3) Click the icon in the message editor that looks like a globe with a chain underneath
4) A pop up box will appear asking you to enter the url, put it in and click 'Ok'

Then post as normal

I assume you know how to highlight and copy an address? If not, highlight and ctrl+c
To paste it in the box, delete whatevers in there, then press ctrl+v

Here's a good welding position sheet. It's in German, but don't let that hold you back. Very clear, shows pipe and plate, AMSE and EN/ISO positions

Do these codes apply to all welding processes?

Hi sparks, positional numbers eg: 5G refer to position that the material has to welded in, nothing at all to do with which process is to be used.
