Manchester/Allen west power saw

Evening guys.
I acquired another power hacksaw. Its identical to my big Manchester saw only bigger. Its badged as Allen west. I cant find any information on Allen west. Have any of you guys heard of Allen west machinery or its realation to Manchester power hacksaws.

Right. So a Manchester saw. And allen west I understand done the electrical switch gear. There is a leaver on the side that's something to do with pole change.

I picked up my power saw today..
Closer inspection reveals this is a Manchester rapidor 10...10 being capacity in inches... I now have the 4..6..10 size Manchesters. This has a three speed motor.

rebuilt mine but rarely use it now. a lot quicker using 1.0mm slitting disks up to 1 and a half inch bar

Yer definitely. I thought my Manchester 6 was big..this number 10 is a monster. They made a 12 but ain't found one of them ....yet

probably thank god why would you need 3 either you get them cheap do them up and sell or just hoard stuffi got one offered for nothing and couldn't be bothered to pick it up .it needed a fair bit doing to it mind

I just like to rescue them. I will refurbish them and use em when I need...definitely don't sell nothing....

I'll be interested to see how that 3 speed motor works, all the multispeed motors I've seen reduce the power with the speed. The fact the current is changing with speed makes me think the power actually is changing. That or they're changing the voltage somehow.
