Just been re reading the thread Bob... look up Broquet ..it is catalyst pellets in a welded metal mesh tube . The guys that had them David LOCKE ( IIRC) gives/ gave an unconditional guarantee that using them in vehicles will not cause valve seat damage in an unmodified vehicle . It was developed in WW2 by the Brits so the Russians could fly donated Spitfires on absolute rubbish Russian fuelsIt was running when I bought it but it's been stood a few years, no doubt it would fire up with some fresh petrol and new batteries. The engine is coming out and a diesel is going in, to use as is it would need the head done for unleaded and a gas conversion because its horrendous on fuel. It's a rare old beast, it`s still got all the swim gear fitted.
