Thinking about mans great inventions gets you thinking we are not as clever as we think we are..take the wing of an aircraft...a sycamore seed has the same design on its single winged seed...A suspension bridge can be found in spiders webs and a 3 sided or trianglation legged post can be found in almost every trees roots as they have 3 main roots roughly 120 degree spaced. Can you add anymore things found in nature that man claims to have invented??

I read that and thought to myself for a few seconds: is there some shlong shaped animal that it's based on then I realised what you meant.

Submarine hulls which are, to an extent, the same shape as the body of a fish (look at the USS Albacore for the earliest and most extreme example of this). If you watched the series Earthflight you'll have seen that the camera footage they obtained from an Eagle showed they had ranks of small feathers on the tops of their wings which popped up when the bird landed and acted like the flaps/slats on aircraft wings. A lot of mankinds inventions are re-inventing the wheel already created by mother nature.
