If it were me I’d say because the wife won’t let meWhy is not getting the meter removed and avoiding the standing charge.
Redundancy I suppose.

Don't have to go far. Just north of mk prices start to drop. 90% of my work is mk so don't want to move too far.Blimey I'd say Milton Keynes is as far as I'd want to go up country.
Redundancy in that if his solar system has a fault he can still use the grid.Redundancy?? You''ll have to expand a bit on that.
If the meter goes, that is another saving of around £15 every month and rising.
Well I moved to Lincoln and it's not far enough!!Blimey I'd say Milton Keynes is as far as I'd want to go up country.
What's a 3 minute Market?Battery storage really is the future, access to the 3 minute market will be very lucrative
However, my EV will be staying charged
A battery install my team did in Battersea was nominated for an award but didn't win
What's a 3 minute Market?
Not only relevant but logical as long as they use common sense. It won't matter to people like him as he will chop the car in for a new Tesla or something equally expensive / obscene and let the next owner take the hit.
An old saying I heard many years ago, "the rich get richer" seems to be more and more relevant these days.
I am online 24 hours a dayOne of the markets to sell electricity on, if you can be online in 3 minutes you get a higher rate
I totally agree with you , I had to change my way of thinking , my life style and put many hours in learning new things that could make me employable for what the job market was offering .Open your eyes mate. A family working a full week shouldn't be struggling to put food on the table and relying on government top ups and food banks to make ends meet
Someone's making the money. It's not them.
My wife's Outlander is on a 15 plate , at it's discharge test it was deemed 93 % IIRC.It might not be so profitable when he gets a £10-20k+ bill to replace the worn battery pack in a couple years.
Problem is we need people to do the lower paid jobs. The country wouldn't function without them. But. They should be adequately compensated for there time.I totally agree with you , I had to change my way of thinking , my life style and put many hours in learning new things that could make me employable for what the job market was offering .
But it wasn't long before I realised that a job is usually an shortened version of Just Over Broke . Decided I'd design ( loads of reading & research for ideas ) my own way of legally earning the levels of income I wanted & not meekly accept what people decided to offer me when working for them . As I said, it's more of a mindset issue for many .
That was one of the politicians big screw up's , the minimum wage they were all clamouring & chasing votes for suddenly be came the maximum wage anyone would & could pay due to cheap labour costs abroad & an immigrant influx where people were happy to live in conditions & for wages that you and I would not like to have , but for them their boat had come in , food and shelter and not much civil or military strife in their lives far better than " back home " for many . I often wonder how long they will continue to accept such conditions of employment & low incomes ?Problem is we need people to do the lower paid jobs. The country wouldn't function without them. But. I have no qualifications but I have the mindset and drive to earn well. We're comfortable on a single income and once the wife starts earning next year (,uni) life will be easier still.
I consider myself lucky

I fail to see how you did that. Many of us are constantly researching and reading and yet can't find the holy grail legally.I totally agree with you , I had to change my way of thinking , my life style and put many hours in learning new things that could make me employable for what the job market was offering .

It's a double edged sword though. Constantly declining wages by fire and rehire is the same as a minimum wage.100%
Minimum wage is my pet hate. I was earning a tenner an hour at 17/18 yo.
Nowadays that’s be worth the thick end of £20. For a school leaver. Ain’t gonna happen.
Bloody grafted for it mind
I've said the same re minimum wage many times.
