Old man sod strikes again
My Makita cordless drill has two batteries and one died so ordered a new pair. The other day the second battery died so glad new pair came yesterday. Got charger and when plugged in it went “ping” and didn’t work with no light lit. The "ping" was audible ! This was before a battery inserted. Quick look inside charger shows no obvious fault such as burnt or overheated component etc.
I'm prepared to buy another charger but am wondering if there is a common fix with these chargers that is DIY for somebody with no electronic knowledge ?
The charger is a DC1804 -
