Ive scrounged a makita cut off saw that was sparking, I thought It was the brushes but they are fine. Upon taking it apart ive noticed a break in the copper coiling on the armature. Anybody know of makita repair centres or where I can get cheap parts?

is the break easy to get at if so you could solder it then insulate it.
it will probably cost more then its worth for a new armature

Ive seen the armatures available for £90 on the net, I may have a go and soldering and insulating it but I am now in the market for a decent cut off saw. I mainly use 25mm x 25mm x 2-3mm waal box section. Whats the best value vs performance saw out there?

The solder didnt work, still arcing out... Defo knackered armature...
