If I was employed (god forbid) and kept what I do as a side gig I would do the same as @addjunkie
It is beneficial to do it that way for all those reasons. VAT can make you 20% more, but it makes your expenses 1/6 cheaper so you’ll need to work out if that’s good or not.
Most of my work is b2b and they hate it if you’re not VAT reg.
We are limited for liability purposes.
