what would you make engine mount adapter from?
I've no idea what engine I would be putting in what vehicle, but I do know it won't be standard...
Once my first focus is back on the road I'm selling the current one to fund a 4x4 project, probably start small and cheap like an sj410 etc as they will fit through the small gaps in the farm whereas my mates disco won't...
Partly playing with the engine out of the focus but it's done 150k although there isn't anything wrong with it and I could easily service the lot with it out of the car...
Anyway, should I need to make adaptor plates, what is best? I would like to use the standard engine mounts for the engine being used so would need to marry them into the car...would some box section cut and welded to the right shape be strong enough or would I need a big billet of somethingachined to the right dimension?
