Ok, I see this as a safety to item to a certain degree so popped my question in here.
I need an extension lead as my ancient one is heating up a lot and I'm worried.
I was thinking of making my own (standard 13 amp) out of 2.5 mm to avoid voltage drop...is this ok to do??? I know now't about electrics but can wire a plug.
I was thinking of popping into B&Q and buying some of the 2.5mm artic cable stuff and wiring either with 13 am plug etc.
What do you think? Safe enough? Surely the thicker cable just has a higher capacity???
