making a bullbar some questions

well i decided to TIG it. i tacked it with MMA. got some under cut but dont know why. i was using 200amps and a 2.4mm filler.

i'm confused .........did u tack weld using mma at 200amps or tig weld at 200amps.........is it the tig which is undercut or the mma tacks?

i taked it with MMA at about 90amps. nop problem with the tacks. i went over them with tig anyway.

Well that's the tacking issue sorted, I think 200amp on the TIG is still way too high though. I use a pedal most of the time now so not always aware of the amps, but I'd have thought more like 130 - 150 for that fillet on mild steel. W/A
