Mains power supply for Cut 50 ?

I've yet to play with my newly bought Cut 50 and wonder about mains power supply.
Will it work on 13 amp plug at low settings but blow fuse when turned up for thicker materials ?
I've got a separate 16 amp supply - am I best using that for all thicknesses ?
Is 16 amp sufficient for the highest setting ?

I would use the 16 amp supply all the time

Plate on the back will tell you what it needs on full power, I think mine is 36A iirc?

i can tell you it works fine with 2.5mm set at 30 on dial with 13 amp socket on extension reel with air pressure set at 45

im the other way not so sure with the air compressor as dont think the 25 ltr is enough but think the 50 ltr is ok at minimum with a good cfm as been advised about this

i have no choice but to use 13amp either by extension reel or by plug until the shed is rewired so will be watching this thread

What sized wire is required to make a 16A extension as the lead on the machine is just 24" long ?
Looking I see 4 & 6mm rubber cable is expensive so don't want to use that if 2.5 is sufficient.
No problem with my compressor - it's a 100ltr Abac.

16A breaker will not be enough for full power operation - you'll need a 32a

I don't know about other makes of Cut 50 but my R Tech 50 HF takes 22 amps flat out.

I've obviously never pushed mine - it's been on a 13A since I bought it and never had a problem

Dunno - pretty sure I've had it wound up full, though not for long periods.

That said, I really should put a 32A plug on it...
