Mag drill cutter max size

Looking at getting a mag drill, I've seen an evolution 28. Which cuts holes upto 28mm surprising enough.

So what's stopping you putting a larger sized cutter in the chuck/shaft?

Or is it the size of motor capacity??

The info for it gives a speed of 570rpm. This would probably be too fast for cutters bigger than 28mm.

Have a look at Rotobroach - better drills.
Size is dictated by the gap between the chuck and body of drill.

I have a 35mm cutter for Rotabroach cuts fine

never had a problem with 50mm ++, loads of suds, u'll feel the correct cutting pressure....keep the cutters sharp....simples........

My mag drill is rated at 35mm max but handles a 45mm with lots of coolant and a bit of care. Usually it's the speed that's the issue, the motor won't bog unless you're really taking the pi$$.

RPM`s kind of dictate cutter size but as above if care is taken you can stretch things a bit , I assume you are talking about using a chuck and hole saw vs a cutter. https://www.fairburyfastener.com/holesaw_speed_chart.htm
