Hi everyone , I have had both my bench-mounted mini lathe and mini mill from Axminster for a while now however I am just getting into using them more and trying a few projects.
Just looking at some extra tooling to get started and not quite sure on the names of some things nevermind where to get them or what to get.
First items to add to my rather limited tooling collection I was thinking of would be a set of parallels to use in the lathe and mill not sure where to get these types of things from however
Also, I have an Axminster DTI I use for engines and that type of equipment, however, looking at machining videos I see more of a finger type indicator that looks a lot easier to set up for getting a vice in tram and that sort of thing rather than what I use shown here
Also i have a few notes next to my mill with the general tool/workpiece speed formula and a climb milling/conventional milling diagram so i can always remind myself would be interested in here if anyone recommends any more info to always have to hand
As i say i am just getting started and enjoying it so far but I know how great a source of knowledge this forum is so thought it would be worth a post to see.
Also got access to a much larger lathe and mill at work so would be interesting to use them for bigger projects once I am familiar with the hobby sized kit.
