Machine Mart VAT free days

Hi All,
Hope you all got what you wanted from Santa

I,ve just a couple of cards through the door for MM vat free days.

The first is for Wolverhampton Branch, on the 4/1/09 (Evening) & 11/1/09 (Sunday)

The second is Worcester Branch, on the 7/1/09 (Evening) & 11/1/09 (Sunday)

Went to swindon yesterday ,worth noteing only vat free on clarke equipement think they said 10% on other makes ,not sure if this is normal though...and no vat off already reduced clearance items ....

Not so bad on a sunday.. i usually park up that side street and then drive closer if i have to pick something heavy up.

also better as the little hitlers don't work sundays..

I just get my wife to drive, she parks in the bus stop outside the shop working on the principal that as she's a bus driver she can stop there!

Like the idea The dates in Carlisle is 11/01/09 10:00 to 16:00 and 14/01/09 18:00 to 21/00

Just rung my local MM and spoke to a very nice man. I explained the fact that I had stopped recieving the invites as I was always away at sea when the "days" were on.
It seems that there is one on Sun 4, Wed 7 and Sun 11 !!! So here is me with a personal invitation!! He said just ask for me and I'll nod you through! It seems they arn't making too much money at the moment and want bodies through the doors..........(does this bode well/not well for MM going down the swany???)
Anybody from Torbay want to trek to MM in Plymouth on Wed evening????

P.S. he did tell me that they wouldnt 'honour' the invite if you missed the day - even with proof that I was bobbing about in the North Sea

the boys in the cardiff branch are ace in that they tell me the dates of all the vat free days not just the ones i've been invited to...

Unfortunately tho.. the vat free element is programmed centrally into the tills from head office. they can't cancel the vat on a normal day.. you have to buy on the days listed as vat free. (a bit like the chain pubs that can't ring in a pint after hours)

Is there no one that could get you whatever you need if you're away?
