Macbook pro repair

Iv a macbook pro which has a graphics fault (seen the same on a lot of desktops) so its possible a logic board replacement. I contacted the local apple repair center they said it was to old and apple don't support the parts now. Now this was my sons who has passed on and I would really like to keep it.
So can anybody recommend a reputable company that might repair it ???

My previous MacBook pro went hay wire, and ended up with the grey screen with a question mark in the centre, Turned out to be a flat ribbon cable, I think it connected the mother board to the hard drive. Apparently its a known fault, the casing is fully machined from solid aluminium and where the ribbon went under the hard drive they rub through on one of the small ridges left by the milling tool, Got mine fixed at a Stormfront shop, who believe are licensed by apple, The ribbons are available on the net pretty cheap and supposed to be an easy fix if you know about computers, Think it cost me around £80-00,

Turns out I don't have spares for that version. Apple Store is a very good place to start, lots of knowledgeable chaps there (I used to be one of them too) and there will be someone there who will know about typical failures for each and every model - off the top of their heads!

Last time I looked, the weak point was in the hinge dislodging cables. Devil of a job to get to - not for the feint hearted! Very machine specific but they are all a bit of a tight squeeze.
