Yes but I’d still prefer 1/2 over 3/8 on the impact gun.
I'll likely go with 3/8 just as I know there are times a 1/2" socket wont fit.
Found this video interesting.
For motorbike work I can imagine a more compact 1/4" ratchet being extremely useful.
Looking at the tools I'm after, doesnt appear that any local/chain shops have them, or not without paying significantly more... thats a pain.
Change the 3ah battery for a 2.5 high output. Looks like you're buying from PowerToolMate in which case they're a £1 cheaper too.
Accountant in you coming out - to the last £pound....
Like it - I approve....![]()

I assumed the 3Ah would last longer in the lower drain tools, rotary tool, ratchet..

Properly torqued wheel bolts! turn it up to max uggaduggas and then a perfunctory 'click' with the torque wrench. Absolute ball bags, make me so angry. Had a tyre fitter almost give up trying to get wheels off my Discovery 2 the first time they needed to come off in my ownership, and he is used to hgvs and plant. On the BMW changing to summer tyres and one of the wheel bolts wouldn’t come off. It had been serviced not long before it. I posted on here about it.
Stubby failed so got the big torque out and that broke the socket. Tried a standard impact socket that was a bit tight so used the breaker bar and snapped the swivel head off that. Standard socket on the big impact gun eventually got it off and produced a lot of heat in both the socket and bolt, I was surprised it didn’t shear the bolt.
Ooh nice shopping day, like Christmas. If there's a Mrs Kram I hope she had given approval, otherwise id be off to hide them quickly.View attachment 533344
Quite impressed! Batteries on charge, forgot that they send them out flat
I do like the simple attachement for the cut off base, very nice.
I strongly dislike that the cut off guard has only 45 degrees or less of rotation, I can see that being modified very quickly!
