Does anyone have a source for an M10 x 1.25mm pitch nut for an angle grinder? Just a standard nut to hold flat or depressed centre abrasive disks.
I can find rubber pads (flexipads) with this thread nut; I can find wire brushes with this thread but a standard nut is very difficult to locate.
It is for a 4" Wolf AG4 Grinderette I have (oldie but good). I found out that Makita's GA4030K, a current US-only model, shares the same spindle thread but Makita spares people will only sell me UK and EU spec. parts.
99% of 4" grinders have M10 x 1.5mm threads.
Alternative suggestions?
Buy from US somehow?
Buy a standard M10 nut and helicoil it to M10 x 1.25mm? Worried that the repeated opening and closing will wreck the helicoil.
Buy a standard nut, weld it up solid and rethread to M10 x 1.25mm?
Buy standard nut, thread it M14 x 1.25 and loctite in a reducing sleeve?
Thanks for any insight.
