Luna bench grinder

new 900w grinder finally arrived.happy enough with it,quieter than i expected when running.took a while to get the belt running true,but the design/quality of the tracking system could be better.savage hump in the belt at the joint,will this disappear with a bit of use?

belt is 4 inches to give idea of size

I like the look of those luna grinder/linisher items - decent amount of umph!
I'd expect it (the hump) to level out with a bit of use.
As for the photo - you could always blame the auto-focus, I suppose!

This looks really nice piece of kit wmj.
The price is a bit of an issue but if you want something well made you have to pay for that!

I think a nice piece of kit like that deserves it - besides that, I couldn't even see the model number!

Did it take all this time to arrive - since that last post about it, a couple of months ago?

Quite agree there, Bill! I remember when he (wheresmejumper) was looking at them a couple of months ago, and the price temporarily stopped me, but I've got a feeling I'll get hold of one somehow, someway - fairly soon, too - I hope!
Can't find the link anymore, but I'll have a little hunt around!

I have one of these,picked it up at an auction. I have the same trouble as you with the sander paper wandering, it is nigh on impossible to get it to run true. And boy is it heavy! But apart from that its not bad.

right,i took another 4 pics and this was the best!
ive really unsteady hands,makes welding....interesting

i was about to order it a while back,was chatting to the guy in the shop about it,but then a nice phone came up for sale,bought some tools,consumables,goats needed a new shed for winter....

took me the best part of an hour to get it right.
the top wheel/pulley's mounting system is a bit flimsy.the cheap aldi one in the pic next to it took all of 60 seconds to sort
