Lowes rust primer

Is lowes rust primer any use ? I had a can in the shed and was painting an old frame with it , its nice and thick so covers well but long term does it keep the rust at bay.

Sorry i didn't realise this paint isn't for sale in the uk as far as i know , anyway its the red lead type of primer , is it any cop ?

never heard of it , watch out on red oxide style primers , alot are just red primer thats trying to fool the buyer, as i dont think they can sell red lead like years ago

a heavy can is a good sign its got some good stuff in it
