Hi, wanting to tap the knowledge bank once again!
I have loads of steel to cut
50x5 flat (180 cuts)
38.1mmx2mm erw tube (100 cuts)
25mm round bar (50 cuts)
50x25x2.5 (100 cuts)
and i do this on a reasonably regular basis with an abrasive chop saw which is noisey and not deadly accurate (although accurate enough to be fair) and leaves lots of burrs, question is, if i go and get a bandsaw will it be quick enough, i have never seen one in anger-how fast do they cut compared to the above? I don't want to buy one and find it takes me hours and hours to do the above.
Also do you think a tct (evolution type) chop off saw may be better option and can i use evolutions 14" tct blade in my normal abrasive chop saw??
many thanks in anticipation, Neil
