lost and found

anyone loose stuff then find it weeks later lost a stihlsaw then remembered someone had borrowed it . lost a kango hammer then found that in my other garage a week later . went for my twin cutter diamond saw and it wasn't where I normaly keep it . looked all over 3 times then gave up though it had been pinched .nearly 300 quid .only been used twice was looking for something else and found it it was pushed behind a big box on top shelf in the corner of garage

Yep all the time, best one was I reported my Ifor flatbed stollen only for Mrs RDR to remind me I let a local farmer borrow it 3 months prior. I had totally blanked that out, felt sick as soon as she said

Also lost a stihl saw. Eventually found under a bundle of hoses.

I'm slowly getting to the point where I've got so much stuff that I'm starting to forget where everything is or that I even bought it in the first place. One of life's ambitions slowly being fulfilled.

I really should get organised better.

Mislaid my car once for 3 days

Found my Britool 10mm socket and 1/4" ratchet in a customers tool box this week. I reckon he's paid for it by now so I left it with him. Nice to know where it went though

Lost a 13mm socket working on my bike. Part of a set so it drove me mental not being able to find it.

Found it 3 years later when I turned the front paddock stand upside down and it fell out of the tube.

I put items in places knowing i wont forget where they are,when turning the place upside down looking for them i find other items i did the same thing with saying "oh thats where that got to",still not finding the thing i was looking for in the first place................I swear its not me,its the fairys

I once lost a snap on vise grip, searched everywhere for it, it turned up a year later clamped on a nut underneath a customers car, I'd used it to stop a nut from spinning on a towbar I had fitted, the car had been all over europe in that time and apart from being dirty the grip was fine, I still have it.
In the workshop nowadays tape measures are my favorite thing to lose, I'm sure that they have legs,

I never have a drink with car keys in my pocket. In fact if I have a single drink I don't drive for 24 hours at least.

I crossed paths with a mate on the road, so parked my car up off the main road to avoid it getting vandalised while we went out in his and just couldn't find it

apart from loosing it I need it Monday to chase across a concrete floor for floor sockets and data points and would have to do it with a 4inch grinder and a hoover cant make much mess . the diamond chaser has a conection for henry hoover and there is no mess cutting

Whenever I lose something it's always in the last place I look.

Or right in front of you. No end of times I've been searching for something, to find it was within arms reach & plainly visible the whole time.

Fitting out the new workshop in the middle of moving is driving me mad, so far today lost 2 drills, then the charger.
Found one drill under a bench tonight, found the charger on the way back from borrowing one.
