Lorch Inverter drop testing

I was just having a quick look online at the micro welder from the other thread and whilst on You tube I did a search for Lorch.

I didnt realise, but it looks like one of the German customers had made a video and uploaded it whilst at the factory for product training.

Its in German but it demonstrates perfectly the robustness of the Handy series!

Independant research shows that a machine of this type is dropped atleast 6 times during its lifespan, so thats why we over engineered the product and made it crash proof from a height of 80cm onto a concrete floor.

Haha yeah, he genuinely looked worried, anyone would of thought it was his machine they were dropping! atleast they aint got Leider Hausens on.

Dropped 6 times in its lifespan....? Our sets get dropped that many times in a day

Yeah they're useless aint they!

We sent a 500 amp acdc tig to Aberdeen once for an exhibition, it turned up 3 days late covered in mud and squashed. The driver admitted that the fork driver had pushed it off the lorry while loading another pallet on. It fell about 2 meters. It still worked but the chassis was bent to bo***x and was a write off.

I still can't believe they had the cheek to deliver it, I'd rather they just of lost it!

Nah, it was scrapped off and was replaced by the insurance company. I have a nice ex demo 500 amp acdc if you want one that badly though scarecrow esp if you have a spare 6 grand lying around
