I get mine from Inngas of Workington Cumbria..not much good to you I know but I have a faint memory of a discussion one day that suggested they had other depots around the North...perhaps worth giving them a ring... 01900 601900.
I got a large Argon/Co2 for an initial £56, refills £31 and none of your silly BOC collection charges.
