brake fluid wont damage copper but it may remove the laquer from the tracks
The ones from Farnell, I ordered 4.

Their tech people say that is due to vibration / resonance as they are physically failing & still fine electrically.

when you installed the new diodes didnt you take the alternator apart
Hot glue may overheat the diodes and cause them to fail. Best stuff to use is silicone rubber.
Or, you could solder extended wires from where the diodes are currently installed then attach them to the diodes via some terminal strip, then mount that somewhere away from vibration.
