That's the sort of thing, with most of them you can actually fold the entire front away so it's just an open shelter which. Depending on the brand/model you can get an outer skin for cold weather but

As you have seen there is a big variation in prices and top end models/brands can be £400-500

And if you keep your eyes open small two gerth caravans come up fairly cheap.

I was amazed at how cheap tents are. A group of us went off to LeMans a couple of years ago, we took a marquee!

Set fire to it at the end. Everything else was on fire anyway....

I came back from France on Monday via Le Harvre & on the same ferry there were a a load of classics on a continental run. 1 Healey 3000, 2 TR6's, XK140? In racing trim, aero screens & all, Sunbeam Alpine, Aston DB4? TR7, Caterham 7, & a '30s MG Magnette I think it was. The noise was unbelievable when the Jag opened the throttle on the car deck! I don't think it was silenced at all. In the lane waiting for passport control, the Caterham left the hand break off & it rolled into the back of the Jag

Have a look at the range of quencha tents from decathlon. They are nothing special, but for the price point they are well worth the wonga. Vango are also worth a look.

Absolutley first class and im a right tent snob! Ideal for car camping , un zip the bag and it pops up. its double skinned so less likley to soak you with condensation. we have a full set from a 1 person up to the biggest 4 person one and have used it all over Europe from the freezing north to heatwaves in central Spain and gales at Anglesey circuit.
Decathlon may be cheap but they are a massive concern and the French take their camping pretty seriously.

We're going in a classic Mini, a Caterhan 7, a Lotus Excel and a Lotus Esprit!
