Hello
Wondering if I could pick your brains please. I bought an old Renault T35d horsebox off Ebay. It looked a bit of a shed but I only paid £250 so I thought it will need work but nothing unsemountable (I know I'm stoopid) I drove it back from Loughborough to an MOT garage in Newcastle no problems at all. It failed (as expected) BUT the whole undercarriage is "excessively corroded" and the garage has stamped it "DANGEROUS" The bloke's actual words were "you are lucky to be alive love" I asked the garage man if it could be welded because I had factored in spending about £1000 to put it right he said the problem I had was there was nothing to weld anything to as it is so badly corroded and my only hope was a complete fabrication job. Being the daft woman that I am I have no idea who to contact next to see if they can fix it. Can someone point me in the right direction please (or if anyone wants to have a look to see if they can fix it you are most welcome) I really don't want to scrap it but if it sounds like a no go I'm going to have to.
Your advice would be gratly appreciated
Cheers
