Hello all you clever people
I have these radios, and I'm fitting new amps and speakers into them, but the plastic cases are very thin and they vibrate when the bass hits.
So to make the walls a bit thicker / more dense I used fibreglass resin, and it worked very well, and the case sounds great. I actually added about 5kg to it in fibreglass.
However fibreglass is a bit of a pig to work with, and I'm wondering are there another materials I could use? Was thinking maybe silicone sealant, but that wont set rock hard.
I could use pouring resin, but the prices are silly for that stuff. Epoxy putty would work also, but I cant get it in large quantities I would need for a project like this.
Any ideas?
