looking for a cheap power drill...

As in the title. My old cordless gave up the ghost and then my corded did the same thing. I use them so rarely that it's not worth spending money on a good one, and a cordless will end up going flat whenever I need it due to lack of use, so I want a cheap drill, anyone got any ideas?

Lidle have at the moment I think. cheap enough to throw away but their electrical stuff usually has a 3-year warranty.

Same with Aldi, they had some a week or so ago for £15, I have one bought a couple of years ago that I use for rough 'get thrown around' jobs and it's survived fairly well and has done a lot of hammer drilling, not as nice as my Bosch but can't expect it to be for the low price.

They have a decent cordless heavy drill in at the moment but am like you, it would sit unused for too long which usually does the battery no good.

I was in Lidl yesterday and they had corded drills for sale, didn't notice the price though.

Rechargeable too Iirc, at least in my local[ish] store.

performance power from b and q is good. 700w hammer drill that will knock a wall down. Only thing i would suggest is payin 5 quid on a decent chuck from Screwfix as on hammer action it rattles loose

Thanks all, I'll check it out in the morning. I checked aldi and lidl's online offers but nothing showed up except the £44 cordless, which is pointless, as above. I'll check b&q too, but have to go all the way to coventry for that, so hoping the other two turn up something.

yeh got a b&q one as well was just planning on using until it broke and then buying a decent one but 3 years on it refuses to die
