After the fiasco of the injury to my hand I have realised that a pair of Gilbows just won't cut it anymore (!). I just don't have the strength back so I am looking at buying a bench mounted shear a bit like this one:
https://shop.chesterhobbystore.com/...es/products/hand-shears?variant=7468433113135
Ideally I would like to cut 3mm ally but I will settle for 2mm as the budget does not stretch to a six foot hydraulic guillotine.
My fear is buying something that blunts in the first week, having said that it will not get daily (or even weekly) use, just once in a while. What brand am I looking for ideally?
(Disclaimer: I am not promoting Chester tools intentionally or otherwise but I have bought quite a bit of kit from them in the past and have always received good service and a quality commensurate with the price paid).
