location haverhill suffolk-NO CO2 !!!

Hi everybody, been looking on this site now and again, lots of helpful little things, tips and advise, thought id join as i have a mega problem, i am struggling, really really struggling to find someone who will refill my 10kg co2 bottle in the haverhill, suffolk area and was wondering if anyone is now having the same problem, or can point me in the right direction. I use lots of welders, but this is for my private use at home, and i worked out that, how this bottle has lasted me, joining BOC would cost me between 4-500 quid by the time im done with one bottle-NO WAY!!, PLEASE PLEASE help me someone, or ill have to use ebay to get another full one for about £70-£80 (still cheaper though than boc lol), many thanks in advance, Neil.

Try a fire extinguisher refill service, they will sometimes do them for you.

is it a pub bottle of co2??

i go to my local and he swaps the bottle for 13quid

no its a converted fire extinguisher big bottle, has a tap on it and al the proper co2 connections, gonna try some more fire companys but had stupid quotes of £45 plus which im sure is just wrong!

yer i might try a pub or two, trouble is i dont really frequent any locals, but if i get more desperate i will pehaps try, they might have some old bottles kicking about, trouble is even those are all stamped/coded now.

Elmdale welding

ive used elmdale a few times in the past, now they have very recently just started renting out gas, one off fee, 145 quid approx for the bottle and each refill is about 45 quid, i think it was a 20litre bottle of 5% co2 and argon mix, there a good reputable company and im considering this option.

Sooo sooo happy today, im at the long melford vintage rally and theres a guy on a stand here from diss selling bottles full of either argoshield or pubgas for £25 each!!!! couldnt believe it so yess i threw my money at him for that!! been searching for ages!!
