A bit of plate up the middle makes it a lot smoother to get on them. And add a little flat piece of plate on the front too that the wheel can run on before it goes up the ramp - stops the ramps moving if you can't wedge them against something.

the ramp will be made of plate, with flat bar welded across the width, to aid traction, there will be a peice infront of the ramp to stop them moving, and alot of bracing an supports, as i really dont fancy a car falling on me again
A cheaper and lighter option instead of putting plate on the front of the ramp to stop it moving when driving on is to use old carpet or mat folded around the first cross piece and back under it's self. then you can have nice clean tyers as well
i may be able to get permision of the land owner they will be used on to drill holes into the concrete floor, so i can put 12mm dowels in to stop them moving, but if not i will either use a folding of fixed plate, as i already have the plate, and im low on spare carpet lol
