Hi there, I thought it was time to replace the liner on my Clarke 150T as it seems a tad sticky and I've never done it since I got it about 6 years ago. I bought a liner from machine mart sold for Clarke welders upto 155T, but when I opened up the torch I couldn't work out how to get the old one out. There's a little silver connection (like the one on the gas line) on the end of the existing liner which l can't seem to get off (I don't like to pull it too hard) and the new one comes with a brass collet, and I can't see what that's for, there doesn't seem to be one on the old one, have I bought the wrong one, do I need one with a silver screw connector on the end? What happens on the other end, do I just pull the old one out and feed the new one through? I don't have the manual for the machine and can't find one online. I've put on a photo of the old and new ones.
Cheers
