Line of chords ruler

Started a job 3 months ago and slowly been building my gear up, one chap there iv been working with uses a line of chords (i think) ruler that you can work angle out with...
when iv googed them there abut £35 for a silverline one..

My question is, is there a better make for similar money or shal i settle for one of the silverline jobbies and hope for the best
