Lincoln SP-170T not feeding wire

I have a Lincoln SP-170T that wont feed the wire.

I have checked the cable and wire runs through it fairly easy. When I push the gun handle though, I can hear the wire feeder "click in" but it doesn't turn (the small wheel) I have taken all the pressure off it by removing the wire etc.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?

If it isn;t repairable where in australia (or anywhere) can I find a replacement drive motor?

It's possibly the contactor or rely that switches power to the wire feed motor - if the contacts are burnt you'd get the click but no wire feed. Probably worth checking if you have any fuses on the circuit board too.

Hi,
I had this problem happen to mine too, One of the wires soldered to the wire feed motor terminals had come off, original solder job was very poor, Re-soldered both connections and not had a moments trouble since, Hope your problem turns out to be an easy and cheap to fix as mine was.

Try rotating the voltage switch, if it is not in the "detent" position motor will not operate.
