I'am restoring a 1950 ford shoebox and will be doing alot of sheetmetal work.
I've done some welding in the past. I was just Wondering if any knows or what you think of the Lincoln MIG 140C.
They are a very good machine. Well above others with a aluminum wire feeder (instead of plastic) and a good gun.
The 180C is the one everyone else wants to copy (notice how many of the cheap Chinese ones look similar.). The 140C, his little brother is a fine choice.
you'll need a dedicated outlet as it will draw 20 amps when used on thicker stuff. On sheet metal, it will be less. A heavy-duty power extension must be used if needed (12gauge preferred and as short as possible.)
