Lincoln Invertec PC620 stopped working

This thing has hardly done any work - like less than 15 minutes, now I tried to use it, the lights on the dash come on but it doesn't strike an arc.

Any ideas what to look for?

Don't say I bought a 'pup'

Have you connected the earth lead? - don't laugh, it's been done!

Hello RTB,

Good to be here, albeit when I have got troubles.

That is exactly what it seems like, if it is it must be internal, I double checked it in a seperate piece of steel just to see if my eyes were confusing me. No difference.

I turned the air pressure up and down, until the 'low air press' light came on; so have discounted that, plus when I pull the trigger air comes out.
Also when I do this the 'Amps' light displays indicating to me that the set has received a signal from the hand-piece.

I pull the trigger it just doesn't bark in to life......

So not sure whether to go inside or wait to see how well the supplier will stand by the 2 yr warranty.

I use the lesser model, have you checked the the outer part that holds the tip and other bits and pieces is screwed down tight, there are two contactors at this area, is not fully screwed down, you wont make an arc??

On another note, if under warranty, maybe best to have appropriate engineer take a peek...........
