Lincoln electric W 100 off ebay

I got this of ebay last week for £67. Its a 110v but thats no prob. Have i got a bargain or beein sold a duck ? Dunno a thing about Lincoln (EWS) except there meant to be good and i think this one is made in Italy.

IMHO......you've have a puchased a pup, my reasons for this are as follows:

1. Its a 110v inverter that only go's up to 100 amps.

2. The price was way to high considering the age.

3. And finally my bloody internet connection when down just at the wrong time........yes, I was going to bid as well.........................

Smashing little site inverter that. Should last donkeys (and you'll be able to download all the circuit diags from Lincoln site), will admittedly only run 2.5mm and smaller (might do a 3.2 up the way), but hey, for that money?

And it's OCV is 67v, which will make it able to run a good range of rods.

Does anyone know what model it will come under, i cant find it anywhere on the lincoln site (asuming i am loking on the correct site?)

I dont expect it runs from 16a transformer very well.
Had a 32a plug on our 110v jobbie

In my experience 110v inverters must be run off the 32a supply. they will work of 16a but only at low amps, and really need to be plugged directly into the tranny without extension leads. Usually on site the 32a sockets are free as everyone wants the 16a ones. Also the reason why we have a number of 32a to 16a fly leads! (i know mk, i know!)

Ok so now i need a 32 amp transformer without paying £70 for one at MM. not easy

you can fit one to a 3.3KVA transformer but expect it to over heat and trip out if you give it lots of work
