Lighter Fluid

Just bought one of these:

Is £3.90 a fair price for 300ml or would I be better off visiting a local newsagents? Never bought the stuff, As I don't smoke!

That uses lighter gas not fluid.
I would pop into local poundLand or similar usually has it

When you get your gas remember to let us know how good the heat gun is, looks better than using the mains hot air gun I currently use.

It uses butane gas which is what I posted in the eBay link?

I sold one to a customer a while back & he said it was great for a wiring harness repair he did + Staff discount made it a price I couldn't refuse.

Aye, but you referred to 'lighter fluid' which is different stuff, i.e. a flammable liquid.

I don't even know if we have a Poundshop where I live! But then again I rarely walk down the High Street.

If not ASDA is nearby & they also are £1 surprisingly.

Places that sell cigarettes and tobacco usually have both lighter fluid and gas. Not normally in view, so you'll have to ask for it.

Now! controversial, I find the cheap stuff tends to be half empty when you buy it and completely empty the second time you need it. I think the valves in the tins leak slowly.
